Johnathan and April-Denise Armstead will be the first to tell you that they are NOT professionals when it comes to marriage, however, they have shared the last 27 years together, 25 of which as husband and wife, so it’s safe to say they know a thing or two about staying married. Their testimony in overcoming poverty, miscarriages, child loss, and homelessness inspired them to launch What The Marriage, a faith-based platform that provides resources and promotes healthy, God honoring marriages through a biblical lens.
They launched What The Marriage Podcast in January of 2023 as a way to share their own marital challenges in a transparent anecdotal and comedic way. As filmmakers, content creators, podcasters and entrepreneurs, Johnathan and April use a variety of creative mediums to reach and connect with their audiences.
Johnathan and April’s vision is for What The Marriage to be a community - a safe space where married couples, engaged couples and singles who seek marriage one day, can unapologetically be transparent in their struggles and learn and support one another.
Johnathan and April are co-Founders of Casting Pearls Entertainment and live in Corona, CA. They are parents to 3 beautiful children and a daughter in law.
